Holiday Drop

If you find yourself in the office today, beware. Everyone else in the office is trying desperately to clear their plate and that clearing process may involve dumping work on you. Your superiors will generally be more reluctant to staff you by e-mail, but if you are physically present, you are a prime target for offloading year-end responsibilities.  In these instances, I recommend calling your cell phone from your office phone and leaving the line open throughout the day.  Whenever anyone comes by, immediately start barking into the office phone about an unspecified but urgent end of year deal.
