As a young lawyer, a partner or client will often ask you to do things that you truly do not want to do. When you receive such a request, respond with one of the most perpetuated lies in the industry, “happy to help.” Are you happy to help? Of course not. But, use this phrase consistently, and you will both rise in the ranks of your firm and gain a greater ability to lie in other areas of your life.
